Morning Musings-Praise the Lord

Well, there it is again, a command sprinkled roughly a half dozen or so times through my daily reading. “Praise the Lord” So, I’m reading, reading as they praise the Lord for His mighty deeds among the people and then, here’s Psalm 104, full of praise to God for His creation, for His continuing power and working in His creation. And suddenly, I’m full of awe.

“He sets the earth on it’s foundations; it can never be moved.” -5

“He waters the mountains from his upper chambers; the earth his satisfied by the fruit of his work.”-13

“You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beast of the forest prowl.”-20

“These [all God’s works] all look to you to give them their food at the proper time.” -27

“When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth.”-30

Who is this God? I cannot always keep up with maintaining my lawn, yet he waters the mountains. I struggle at times to get dinner on the table in time for everyone to eat, yet God feeds the whole of His creation at the proper time.  I love to create things, yet the things I create are easily ruined. God created the who earth, which can never be moved. I don’t spend enough time in awe of this awesome God! Yes, Praise the Lord for his wonderful works!
