James 1:14-15 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
This is the verse that came to my mind as I sat here after 2 a.m. regretting my decision. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem to have led to death, but all the same, I knew better. You see, yesterday I saw this recipe for a Mocha Frappuccino . It looked very, very good. Today when I woke up, it was cold. So, I made my regular coffee (1-2 oz of double strength coffee, cup of milk, 1-2 tsp sugar, heat and whisk=yummy). Then, at lunch time I was still thinking of the Frappuccino. I knew I shouldn’t, but I made a half recipe. A half recipe comes close to filling a 16 oz cup and contains 2-3 oz more of my double strength coffee. So, I am very, very tired, but I cannot go to sleep all because I made a very, very bad choice at lunch time. Don’t be like me. Just wait until it’s warmer or earlier to enjoy your Frappuccinos. The you of tomorrow will thank the you from today for not being a jerk.
