The girls’ best friends (from the same family) got sick this week with a fever. I remarked that I hoped that the girls didn’t get sick from being exposed to them this week at day camp. Emma replied “Yeah, but if we do get sick, Jesus must have a reason for it.”
A day later, I set Micah on the couch. He tried to roll off toward Hannah because he wanted to get her awesome new shirt. Hannah blocked him. She had been talking about how great the Moody’s plan to do storm clean up IJN (In Jesus’s Name, reference was from these books). As Hannah blocked Micah from rolling off, I asked if she was blocking Micah IJN. She said “Yes, because I don’t think Jesus would want Micah to roll off the couch, but if he did there would be a reason for it.”
I was amazed that the girls understand that God may have plans that they wouldn’t understand/wouldn’t think were good, and that they also understood that God would have a reason for these plans.
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?â€Â And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:1-3
Love this hat!

Picture taken courtesy of “spy camera” or scamera according to Emma. It seems to me like they were aware of the photo op, though.
New Day Camp shirts. Ta Da!
Hannah is trying to learn her memory verses by osmosis. Not in her pillow, but in her hairdo 🙂
The giant stack of fabric for the girls that we received as a gift from someone at church. Looks like fun waiting to happen.
