When religious education goes slightly wrong

My mom’s been here the past week, so I haven’t gotten a lot of writing done, but we’ve enjoyed the home school convention, some shopping, some sewing, and the girls have done a lot of playing on their week off from school. The weather has been not as nice the past week after a cold snap, and it seems there is always something (wind, rain, etc) that keeps it from being truly nice. Well, one of the days recently it was just too windy to play outside, so we told the girls that they could play in the sunroom (3 season porch). We had opened a window, but after the girls released a balloon from it, we closed the window. After we did this, Hannah remarked that it was “freezing hot” in there. Emma told her father that it was “like Hell” in there. Hmm. . . a slightly warm room full of toys containing a small sister who loves to play with you . . . yes, that seems just like Hell where the “worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:48). Obviously, I have some educating to do.
