Another app coming down the pipeline

After getting Simple Pricebook into the Apple App Store, I decided to start working on another project. I have a giant list of ideas. Some of those I will probably never do, because I come up with the idea, but then realize it’s not feasible or it has such a low priority that some other app will always be ahead of it on the list.

But I didn’t take something from the list.  Instead, the SDK (Software Developer Kit, the tools used to make a program for something) was released for the Chromecast.  I got a Chromecast for my birthday and we used it to watch the Superbowl. I wanted to make something for the Chromecast.

So I came up with an idea and I’ve been slowly working on it in the mornings. I’m developing both the Android and iOS version at the same time.  But not only that, I need to write some HTML/Javascript for the Chromecast side.  So it’s a little bit of a learning opportunity.

During app development, some things get you really excited. For example, here’s part of the screen of the app.

The before picture.

And if you hit the button, it becomes this:

The after you hit the button picture

To you, it might seem simple.  To other developers, they might also think it’s simple.  But to me, who knows what’s actually going on behind the scenes when the button is pushed, it’s awesome!

So what is the actual app?  You’ll have to wait and find out. 🙂
