At our morning worship time today, we were blessed to be able to hear about how God is working and opening doors for our church’s missionaries among three different Muslim people groups in Chad. People there are thirsty for Christ and the Word of Life.
Here is a link to a recent conversation they had while building wells in several communities.
So if you would partner with us in praying for the missionaries in these areas, we would appreciate it.
Beyond that, I was truly blessed seeing the service through the eyes of our missions recruiter. He was sitting just a few rows in front of us, and I could see him throughout the service. While he spoke, he talked about the privilege of being able to worship with other believers, something he missed while serving in Africa for many years. Even after being back in the states for a while, you could see that he was still truly blessed by participating in the service. While the worship team led music, he was singing with all he had. While the message was being spoken, he was leaning forward attentively, delighting that the gospel was being preached. Because of his reaction, I was stirred towards a deeper appreciation of the service as well. It was truly a blessing.
1 Peter 1:3-9 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
What an awesome morning! But more than that, what an incredibly awesome God we serve!
How can we pray for you?
